The Best Self Help Book I found is in the Bible. It is my go-to book. Personally, for many many years, I cannot stop thinking about how marvelous and uniquely designed this book is. It stands out all alone above all. Stands out in language, style, and arrangement. We find books in books. So unusual!! There are many self-help books on the shelves of bookstores and in libraries, but all pale in comparison. Call it a masterpiece of a book. An ancient masterpiece from centuries ago and will continue to be the favorite masterpiece in centuries to come. You may own a copy or several copies in different versions.
Different versions try to explain and simplify the texts in ways for ordinary lay people’s understanding.
And that is just wonderful as biblical language is at times difficult to interpret. As most of the Bible is written in parables. Alongside the Bible, whenever we study we need to use references to help us enjoy the written word, and receive help and guidance with whatever we are experiencing. We call it “getting into the word”. Spending time in the word of God brings many rewards to you as an individual, as a nation, and as the whole world. We all need The Best Self-Help Book. It is said that the acronym BIBLE stands for Book of Instructions Before we Leave Earth. That is what we all have to do. This “Why” could take many pages to bring explain, but I will be very brief here. Where do you start when you seek help in any area of weakness in your life that you want to work on? Do you pick up a book, any book? Do you call your pastor, get a coach a friend? Perfect all help. Biblical knowledge is the best way to go. It is not short on instructions, and advice. Helps with instructions and advice impartial to all, bar none. And if you follow through you cannot fail.
Just a word to the wise. Pursue self-Help diligently. Reference as many teachers and books as you can. But make sure the references you come up with are Bible-based. Remember these words: I quote Prov. 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thy heart: and lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”

Your mind is the huge generator of how to proceed and gain success. It is the initial starting ground. You will succeed with the right thoughts. The Bible is the holy instruction book. Just to reflect on these words from Ps 1:1, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful”. Why rely on self-help efforts from others when you have help from the one you can trust, the direct contact the God?
Just to remind you of these words, Matt 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”. Above all, prioritize. Make him the director of your path. In other words, you will attract the best teacher, or advisor for you to accomplish your goals or full your lack in whatever area of your life. He directs you. You cannot go wrong in any way. All things will come into play for you. Name it, abundance, understanding, health, wisdom, and more.
Ask, Seek, Knock, the Most Powerful Tools to Empower You
I must admit, that reading and understanding the Bible could be daunting at first. Yes, a little difficult and discouraging to grasp the important details. So, start off with the right mindset. But do not be afraid. You are here to learn to use the right tools for your breakthrough. Ask for Wisdom. God says it clearly, in Provb 4:7, “Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom, and with all thy getting, get understanding. How do you get wisdom and understanding, you Pray or ask and have Faith.
God knows what you need, but He wants you to bolding come to Him in prayer. Build a personal relationship with God and he will abundantly fulfill all your needs. Because He is more than enough to satisfy your hunger and thirst. Get some understanding from a good gospel preacher. One who preaches the word in understandable language. May your circle of influence be those that are on the same biblical pathways. There are no wasted words in the Bible.
Whenever you Worship, Ask, Seek, Knock, and Find doors will open up.
You will figuratively, hold the keys to open the doors to your breakthrough. Worship and more worship Even when your Faith seems to weave you take strength from 2 Tim 2:13, ” If we are faithless, he remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself”. So, you can receive the Keys and open the doors to victory over finances, ill health, and diseases. Receive breakthroughs from that yoke of the burden of addiction and pain that’s been dragging you down that dark pit of destruction. Accept that winning victory in every area of your life.
Follow these words: “Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. “For everyone that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened” 3 Nephi 14:7–8; see also Matthew 7:7–8). Get explanations from good bible references as you study and read along. So you can put the words in the right context.

Here is an important truth. Believe in the Covenant of Abundant Grace and the Gift of Righteousness. That is the New Covenant. You get a thorough understanding of how God loves you and wants to provide for you. He has a plan for you, one that will not harm you, but one by which you will prosper. (Jerm 29:11) My friend God pours his love out on us under this New Covenant. He allows His sinless son Jesus to die for us on the cross, we receive that Gift of Righteousness and the Abundance of Grace.
See this is God’s unconditional love for us all. Just receive and believe and have faith and watch your weakness become a strength. Therein lies your restoration, your victory to new heights in every area of your life.
Believing in the Old Covenant, the Law of Moses brings wrong action and death to us. The Covenant Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ (1 John 1:17). The Law is the Ten Commandments, written by God. Moses received the Ten Commandments from God on Mt Siani to present to the Israelites in the wilderness. Remember Moses, was chosen to free the Israelites from slavery in Egyptian. He was leading them to the promised land.
Quick Clarity on the Old and New Covenant
The Law, the Ten Commandments, also referred to as the Old Covenant was difficult for us to live up to, and serve God. So God replaced The Law with the New Grace Covenant. How? By sacrificing His Son, Jesus on the cross. So that finished work on the cross would take all our sins, hardships weaknesses, and diseases away. Hallelujah!! He is and is now our burden bearer. All our sins are forgiven at the cross.
Because of that, we can declare the gift of righteousness from God through his Son. “We are the Righteousness of God through Jesus Christ.” ( 2 Cor 5:21) This means that we live under God’s favor (undeserved, unearned favor) and not by our self-effort to reign in life over all adversity. How lucky we are!! We are blessed! See the beauty in the words of the Prophet Peter, 1 Peter 2: 9-11 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called out darkness into his glorious light”.
In other words, we are set up for growth and improvement and accept our God-given inheritance. The inheritance of nothing short of Goodness and Love. Receive it in totality called “The Fruits of the Spirit”. We all qualify for that gift. We are the unstoppable generation to choose a lifestyle of victorious living.
